Perspectives for Development of Portrait Interview Genre in Internet (the Case of the Program “Ze Interv’iuer”/“The Interviewer” by A. Yatsechko)

ABSTRACT

The article clarifies the origin of the term “interview”, traces the main stages of formation of interview genre and portrait television interview and attempts to analyze the prospects for development of portrait interview genre on the example of the program “Ze Interv’iuer”/“The Interviewer” by A.A.Yatsechko (Anatolii Anatolich). The changes in standards, approaches and interpretations of portrait interview are considered. Another aspect of the study is to identify the strengths and weaknesses of YouTube’s video hosting services as a platform for posting video materials of portrait interview.

The article examines in details the role of the anchor and identifies the main shortcomings in organizing and conducting the interviews – in order to eliminate them and to improve the quality of interview. The following research methods were used to achieve the objective and to solve the tasks of research: theoretical methods (semantic analysis, typological analysis, system analysis, comparative analysis, content analysis); as well as empirical methods (research of content).
